Hand crafted to ensure excellent quality, this slipper features an adjustable opening able to provide a custom fit from the narrow to the wide foot. The Old Friend Step-In provides both comfort and gentle protection.

 

About Old Friend Slippers
Since 1981, Old Friend Slippers has developed a line of slippers unmatched by competitors. Their process produces an almost silk-like feel to their sheepskin. They've removed all textile bindings in favor of garment grade pigskin and have sewn-in detail to avoid any chance of irritants coming in contact with bare feet. Old Friend was also among the first to offer a 100% sheepskin insole instead of the cheaper processed wool used by many. Truly sheepskin specialists, Old Friend offers "wides" and extra large sizes, along with a variety of styles.

 

Sheepskin Care Instructions
Do not immerse in water. Clean suede leather with a damp cloth and diluted, mild detergent such as Ivory liquid. Rinse cloth and rub again. Remove moisture immediately with a dry cloth.

 

Rub sheepskin fleece with a wet cloth and mild detergent. Repeat with rinse water and remove moisture with a dry cloth. Brush fleece lightly to renew nap. Always dry your slippers in the shade, never in direct sunlight.

 

Sheepskin can be freshened with baking soda. Sprinkle baking soda over fleece, let it stand overnight, shake and or vacuum the fleece out the next day. You can also spray lightly with an anti-bacterial spray. Let spray dry before using slipper.

Dealing with diabetic neuropathy in my feet has dramatically altered shopping for shoes. I looked for shoes and slippers which would provide durability, comfort, ease of use, and reduce stress on my toes (especially on the top of the toes and the side of my big toes). I accidentally found these slippers from my neighbor's catalog delivered to my mailbox. When I saw them, I wasted no time in ordering them and am so glad I did. The slippers do not put pressure on the sensitive areas of my toes. On the rare occassion they do, a simple readjustment on the velcro top eases the pressure. My feet slip easily into the slippers and fit warmly and securely. As secure as the slippers are, they do not "cut into" the feet or cause any problems when the feet swell. I would recommend these slippers to anyone having sensitive feet.

I bought these slippers for my father-in-law. Though he is hestitant to tell me he doesn't like them, he does say that his toes are cold. He has two very differently sized feet and the velcro was able to accomodate that. He doesn't enjoy wearing socks with his slippers and despite my thinking that the fuzz would keep his toes warm, apparently it does not. The slippers are very comfortable, I myself have a pair of pink scuffs, but these step-ins are not what I had hoped.

    I needed something that i could get on and off quickly and use with my orthotics. I am supposed to wear the orthotic on my charcot foot (from diabetes) even for short distance. These are great if i get up at night, in the morning, or even to wear around the house.
    Warm and comfortable and my foot ortho doctor has even Ok my use of these for short distance without the orthotic. not terrible looking but not great either but I only wear them around the house so I'm not worried about style.
    They do the job very well.

        I bought these for my elderly father. He finds them very warm and comfortable. He wears a 14 so the 14-15 sizing is a little long for him. The extra length makes them a little more difficult to walk in than his slippers which are single sized ( just plain size 14). Other than that the quality is good.

            Not comparable in price to less expensive ones. Not well constructed regarding fit... Much too large in heel area and hard to keep on foot. Look better in pictures than in person. Extra large was miles too big, and large was miles too small. Size variances too far apart.
            Quality of fabric was good. Construction was very good (notwithstanding above comment) Overall disappointment.

            Service and delivery comments:

            Customer Service is excellent. Delivery was speedy and accurate. Arrived in good condition. Returned item, and refund credit was without delay. I will purchase other items. This item did not live up to the hype.
