I ordered these oversize on purpose. I plan to use them for sleeping slippers when camping and using foot warmers inside the slipper. I camp in some fairly cold weather and the only part that gets consistently cold are my toes. I believe these will be the answer to my problem. They are NOT made for walking except maybe to the latrine in the middle of the night. It will save having to slip on heavy cold boots. Should work well if no snow. Can slip a couple of small garbage bags on over them if wet or snowy. The soles don't have any rigidity and will pack well in a crowded pack. I'm afraid however that the wool/elastic combination will wear prematurely and cause the uppers to sag. I have slept in these with no "sock ring" from too tight a fit. Have not as yet had them in camp. So I have only theories on that. Still I find them the best thing I could find in my size which is a 14-14.5. I am happy so far. DOOGASH

Our family has always really loved our Acorn slipper socks. They were warm, comfortable, and quality materials/construction. After about 8 years, my husband's finally wore out so I ordered the appropriate men's size for his xmas present. It was too narrow. I ordered a size larger-plenty long but still too narrow. Also the 2nd pair has a flaw in the knitting. Too bad this once excellent product has suffered poor quality control.

Delivery was as advertised. Product was well packaged. Husband loves them eventhough in Florida we do not use them as often as our northern friends.
Overall very pleased.

Q1: Are soles skid proof? Are they suitable for very elderly person?
A: These slippers will be skid proof, not as good as rubber but the traction and grip is good. This will work perfectly for an elderly person.
